About my Holiday

 Fakalofa  Atu, today  I'm going to blog about what I did during my holiday in lockdown:

What I have been doing for the past few weeks is cleaning, baking and helping my mum with gardening. I helped pick up rubbish, pull out the weeds, planting new plants and watering them. I helped my dad clean his work van by hosing the inside to get rid of the smell from the rubbish, which he gets rid of for his job. I also helped my dad make dinner in lockdown since he's the chef of the house and it was fun to learn new recipes. We as a family did our daily prayer before bed, where we sing hymns and other church songs before praying together. My parents promised to buy me a phone if I did my chores everyday and making sure I was behaving well. I wanted a phone because I wanted to connect with family and friends online and play games with them since it was lockdown. So everyday I would make my bed in the morning, vacuum the house, shower everyday without being asked, clear the table after every meal, doing the dishes and helping my mum with the laundry. Finally my parents decided to buy me a phone after all the hard work I did. I was really happy and grateful because I thought they weren't serious about getting me a phone but seeing how committed I was, they rewarded me. After I got my phone I called my family and friends to catch up with them and to let them know that I  got my own phone.

 

Olympics

Kia ora guys today i'm  going to introduce my work to you guys.

Over the past week me and my team made a book about Olympics Athletes. My athletes  are Sarah Walker  and Michael Phelps .

Sarah Walker is from New Zealand and Michael Phelps  is from the USA.

About the matariki weaving

On Friday 2nd of July we had a visitor  named whae Hei who came in to teach us how to weave. first  Whae Hei asked Pila and Tautaina to go outside and collect some flax. after Whae Hei told us to get two pieces of flax she then told us to make a knot on the end of the flax.  after that she told us to plait the flax as if we were plaiting hair, while plaiting she told us to go over under  And over and under. 

At First it was a bit hard to go over and under but then I got the hang of it and was the first 7 to finish making the ball out of the flax. overall  it was fun making a ball.

about the Museum

 On Monday  we went to the Museum  and it was fun because we got to eat  before we  went upstairs.  we listened to Aaron talking to us about World War One and  the Spanish Flu, after that we got  to wear old Army uniforms and hats. It was funny because we got to wear old uniforms and  we looked silly. next we  got  split into 3 Group  and explore other part of the Museum. And then All of our class went into the volcano house and i got a little bit scared and my teacher  got a fright too. And then we drove around the city and then we went to  Maccas  And had frozen coke and ice cream. and then we went back to school and played  sidelines. it was a fun day
